About Coriva
Coriva is a two-sided marketplace that connects commercial kitchens with independent catering engineers. We provide the technology to post repair requests, discover engineers, communicate and manage bookings. Coriva is not a repair provider, employer, agent or insurer and does not perform engineering work itself.
Coriva is not a party to your repair contract
Coriva provides a platform to connect commercial kitchens and independent catering engineers. Any contract for repair or maintenance services is solely between the kitchen and the engineer. Coriva is not a party to that contract and accepts no responsibility for the work carried out, pricing agreed, attendance, workmanship, safety on site or the outcome of any repair.
You are responsible for your own decisions, agreements, insurance, qualifications, compliance with law and payment arrangements with other users.
What Coriva does not guarantee
For engineers: Coriva does not guarantee jobs, earnings, response rates, invitations, repeat work or any minimum level of activity on the platform.
For kitchens: Coriva does not guarantee engineer availability, response times, attendance, qualifications, successful repair or any particular outcome.
For all users: Coriva does not inspect, supervise or certify work carried out by engineers. Information shown on profiles, including qualifications and trade badges, is provided by engineers and is not independently verified by Coriva at sign-up unless we state otherwise in the app.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement to use Coriva. If you use Coriva on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep your profile up to date. You must not share your account or use another person's account without permission.
Kitchen users
Kitchens using Coriva agree to:
- Provide accurate information about equipment, symptoms, urgency, photos and repair needs
- Warrant that photos and job details represent the actual issue
- Have authority to request work at the relevant premises
- Communicate respectfully with engineers
- Honour agreed bookings and payment arrangements made directly with engineers
- Use the platform for legitimate commercial repair needs only
Engineer users
Engineers using Coriva agree to:
- Provide accurate profile, qualification, availability and contact information
- Hold and maintain all licences, certifications and trade registrations required for the work they undertake
- Maintain appropriate insurance, including public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance where appropriate for the work carried out
- Provide their own tools, vehicles and equipment needed to perform work
- Deliver work to a competent professional standard and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Obtain and maintain any checks required for their work, including DBS checks where applicable and legally required
- Not misrepresent qualifications, experience, insurance, identity or availability
- Attend agreed jobs or communicate promptly if unable to do so
Engineers are independent contractors and are not employees, partners or agents of Slamships Ltd or Coriva.
Bookings, cancellations and disputes
When a kitchen and engineer agree to proceed with work, that arrangement is between them. Coriva does not set prices for repair work and does not process payments between kitchens and engineers unless we introduce such features in future.
Users are expected to act reasonably when bookings change or are cancelled. In particular:
- Kitchens should cancel or update jobs promptly if work is no longer required
- Engineers should attend agreed jobs or notify the kitchen as soon as possible if they cannot attend
- Repeated no-shows, cancellations without reasonable notice or misuse of the platform may result in account suspension
Disputes about workmanship, pricing, attendance or payment should be resolved directly between the kitchen and engineer. Coriva may, at its discretion, review reports of platform misuse but is not obliged to mediate repair disputes.
Kitchen fees and engineer subscriptions
Kitchens: Coriva is free for commercial kitchens. We do not charge lead fees or take commission on the price agreed between kitchens and engineers for repair work.
Engineers: Engineers may access certain features through a paid subscription. Unless stated otherwise in the app at the time of purchase:
- New engineer subscriptions include a three-month free trial
- After the trial, subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly or annual basis
- Current subscription options are £29.99 per month or £299.99 per year, subject to change with notice in the app
- Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store (and Google Play when available), not directly from Coriva
- Payment processing, billing and refunds for app subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms
- You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings
- Deleting the Coriva app does not cancel your subscription
- We do not provide refunds for subscription fees except where required by law or the applicable app store policy
We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and access within the app. If your subscription lapses or is cancelled, engineer features that require an active subscription may be restricted.
Reviews and user content
You may submit content such as job details, messages, photos and reviews. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use, store, display and reproduce this content as needed to operate, secure and improve the platform.
Reviews must:
- Reflect genuine experience of work carried out through the platform
- Be honest, fair and not misleading
- Not be manipulated, incentivised, duplicated or posted in exchange for payment or favour
We may remove or hide reviews or other content that breach these Terms, appear fraudulent, are abusive or are otherwise harmful to the platform or its users.
You must not submit unlawful, misleading, abusive, defamatory or infringing content.
Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Use Coriva for unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purposes
- Harass, threaten, abuse or mislead other users
- Submit fake qualifications, insurance documents, reviews, jobs or business information
- Attempt to bypass platform safety, paywall or verification processes
- Scrape, reverse engineer or disrupt the service
- Use another person's account without permission
- Engage in conduct that creates safety risks on site or through the platform
Suspension and termination
We may suspend, restrict or terminate access to Coriva if you breach these Terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud or abuse, or if necessary to protect users or the platform. This includes accounts involved in fake reviews, fake qualifications, harassment, unsafe behaviour, repeated no-shows or other misuse.
You may stop using Coriva at any time and may request account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
Coriva, the Coriva logo, app design, website content, branding and other platform materials are owned by or licensed to Slamships Ltd. You must not copy, modify, distribute or use our branding, screenshots or materials without our written permission, except as allowed by law or these Terms.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Slamships Ltd shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of Coriva, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of reputation or failed repairs. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when changes take effect. Continued use of Coriva after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
