Why Coriva doesn’t take a cut of the job

How Coriva is priced (free for kitchens, a simple subscription for engineers) and why we don’t take commission on repair work.

Most marketplaces make money by sitting in the middle of the transaction. Coriva doesn’t. Here’s why, and what that means for kitchens and engineers.

The problem with commission on repairs

When a platform takes a percentage of every job, incentives get messy. Engineers price in the cut. Kitchens wonder if they’re paying more. Everyone spends energy on the platform’s fee instead of the repair.

Commercial kitchen work is already urgent and relationship-driven. We didn’t want Coriva to become another layer of cost on top of call-out and parts.

Free for kitchens. Always.

Commercial kitchens use Coriva at no charge. No lead fees. No booking fees. No commission when you hire an engineer.

You post a repair, compare local applicants, and book. Payment for the work is arranged directly between you and the engineer, the same way it would be if you’d found them by phone.

Engineers: a subscription, not a tax on every job

Engineers get three months free, then a straightforward subscription (£29.99 per month, or £299.99 per year via the App Store). That unlocks browsing and applying to live jobs.

What we don’t do: charge per lead, take a cut of invoices, or insert ourselves into payment for the repair.

You keep the customer relationship. You keep the margin on the work.

What we are responsible for

Coriva connects the two sides. We provide the inbox of jobs, profiles and the tools to apply and book. We are not the employer of engineers, and we don’t independently verify every qualification at sign-up. Kitchens should still review profiles carefully, as they would with any contractor.

Support, privacy and terms are published on the site if you want the legal detail.

A simpler deal

Kitchens shouldn’t pay to find help when equipment fails. Engineers shouldn’t bleed margin to a platform on every call-out.

That’s the deal Coriva is built on. If it sounds like the right fit, get the app or read how it works for your side.
